About the Role
We are seeking an expert Databricks Consultant with proven experience designing and implementing Master Data Management (MDM) solutions within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sector. The consultant will play a key role in helping a leading CPG client establish a single source of truth for critical data assets (customers, products, suppliers), leveraging the Databricks Lakehouse platform.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and delivery of MDM frameworks on Databricks, including golden record creation, deduplication, survivorship rules, and reference data management.

Build and optimise data pipelines for ingesting, cleansing, and harmonising master data across multiple CPG systems.
*
Collaborate with business stakeholders to define data governance and quality standards.
*
Implement controls for data lineage, catalogue, and metadata management.
*
Partner with data scientists and analysts to enable customer 360, demand forecasting, and product insights.
*
Provide technical leadership and best practices on Databricks for data management at scale.
Required Skills & Experience
*
Proven hands-on experience with Databricks (SQL, PySpark, Delta Lake).
*
Strong track record in Master Data Management (MDM), ideally implementing customer or product master in large enterprises.
*
Previous experience within a top CPG company (e.g., Unilever, Nestlé, Procter & Gamble, PepsiCo, Coca-Cola, Mondelez, Reckitt, Johnson & Johnson).
*
Knowledge of data governance frameworks (catalogue, lineage, quality, stewardship).
*
Strong Azure data ecosystem expertise (ADF, Synapse, Purview) preferred.
*
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with business and technical teams.
Nice to Have
*
Databricks certifications (Data Engineer Professional / Associate, Data Scientist Professional).
*
Experience in sustainability or ESG reporting in the CPG sector.
*
Familiarity with privacy and regulatory compliance frameworks.
