(dependent on experience) About this Role We are seeking a
caring, committed, and enthusiastic EYFS Teacher
for a
long-term supply position
in a supportive primary school in
Grimsby, part of a well-established
multi-academy trust. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about
Early Years education
and understands the importance of providing children with a strong start to their learning journey. You will take
full responsibility
for an EYFS class, delivering high-quality provision in line with the
EYFS Framework, supporting children's learning through
play-based experiences, structured teaching, and careful observation. You will work closely with support staff to create a
safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment, ensuring all children are supported to make strong progress across the
Early Learning Goals. What you'll be doing Planning and delivering engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences in line with the
EYFS Framework Creating a rich, play-based learning environment that promotes exploration, communication, and independence Using ongoing observation, assessment, and
purposeful interactions
to support children's next steps Supporting early
communication and language, literacy, maths, and personal, social and emotional development (PSED) Working collaboratively with EYFS practitioners and support staff Establishing consistent routines that support emotional security and positive behaviour Maintaining accurate records of progress and contributing to assessment and reporting Ensuring safeguarding, welfare, and health & safety requirements are met at all times To Thrive in This Role, You Will Be Enthusiastic about early childhood development and EYFS practice Confident in delivering both
adult-led and child-initiated learning Skilled in observation, assessment, and identifying next steps Nurturing, patient, and highly organised Professional, reliable, and committed to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
(EYFS specialism desirable) Experience teaching in
EYFS
with experience of teaching phonics (ELS preferred but not essential) A strong understanding of the
EYFS Statutory Framework An
Enhanced DBS
