Italian Speaking Assistant Management Accountant
* Hybrid – 1 days a week in the office
* Based in Manchester
* Permanent
* Salary up to £30k
Medlock Partners are supporting a key client who are looking to recruit an Assistant Management Account who will be responsible for the day to day financial postings and activities relating to the Italian business. Reporting to the Finance Manager and working closely with the Italian Country Manager, this role will be responsible for daily bank and financial postings, customer invoicing and payment statement production, as well as month end management accounting activities and query resolution. This role sits within the wider Finance Team so may be called upon to support in other areas of the department as well, including management accounts for other countries potentially.
The Role
* Downloading the daily bank statements and posting transactions to the finance system
* Producing customer payment statements and following up with customers who have overdue invoices
* Registering electronic invoices
* Posting supplier invoices and preparing payment runs
* Undertaking month end related postings including accruals and prepayments
* Reconciling balance sheet accounts
* Investigating and responding to queries from internal and external stakeholders
* Providing copy invoices and/or statements to customers if requested
* Producing ad-hoc financial reporting as required by the business
* Monitoring the Italian finance mailbox
* Reporting the weekly cash balances
* Producing VAT declarations
* Other ad-hoc fiscal duties
About You
* Previous experience in a broad Assistant Management Accountant role
* A high standard of verbal and written Italian language skills
* Enjoying an assistant accountant role that gives real ownership of the day to day activities of a part of the business
* Confident and professional approach to communicating with customers and colleagues
* Organised in your approach to tasks, able to prioritise effectively and complete tasks with a high degree of accuracy
* A positive ‘can-do’ attitude
* A team player and flexible in your approach
* Demonstrate ownership of tasks and the ability to meet deadlines
* Have passion, pace and energy to make things happen
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with fluency in Italian
* A willingness to learn and try new things
