Scope of role
As a Senior Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and development of mechanical components and assemblies using the latest Siemens NX software.
Based within our state‑of‑the‑art in‑house manufacturing and assembly facility, you will create conceptual designs to meet customer requirements, guiding each project through to the delivery of finished assemblies, all manufactured in‑house.
* Using Siemens NX to develop innovative 3D models and 2D drawings of mechanical components and assemblies.
* Create concept designs that align with customer specifications and project goals.
* Refine designs through review processes, ensuring optimal performance and manufacturability.
* Ability to build design projects from child part level to fully complete parent assemblies.
* Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, in line with timeline and budget constraints.
* Work closely with in‑house departments, including manufacturing and quality assurance, to ensure designs are feasible and meet production capabilities.
* Participate in design reviews and workshops to gather feedback and ensure alignment with customer and project requirements.
* Conduct engineering analyses, including tolerance analysis, to validate designs against performance metrics.
* Collaborate with our Assembly team to prototype and validate components and assemblies, ensuring compliance with customer specifications.
* Identify opportunities for improving design processes and reducing costs through design‑for‑manufacturability (DFM) principles.
* Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in design technology to enhance design innovation and efficiency.
