This is a full-time, long-term role supporting a KS2 non-verbal pupil on a 1:1 basis, helping them access learning, develop key skills, and thrive within the school environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is patient, nurturing, and committed to making a positive impact in a child’s educational journey. Key Responsibilities: •Provide consistent 1:1 support to a KS2 non-verbal pupil, encouraging engagement, communication, and independence •Assist with implementing and monitoring Individual Education Plans (IEPs) •Support the child’s academic, emotional, and social development •Work collaboratively with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider school team •Help maintain an inclusive, calm, and engaging classroom environment •Adapt activities and resources to meet the pupil’s individual needs Requirements: •Previous school-based experience is essential •Experience working with children with SEN, particularly communication needs, is highly beneficial •A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach •Strong communication and interpersonal skills •A valid DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference while becoming part of a dedicated and inclusive school team.
