Key Responsibilities
:
1. Providing general administrative support to the residential conveyancing team
2. Preparing and issuing client quotations
3. Acting as a point of contact for clients, solicitors, lenders, and estate agents, responding to queries efficiently
4. Keeping clients informed and tracking the progress of matters
5. Opening and closing files on the case management system in line with AML requirements, quality standards, and regulatory obligations
6. Assisting with leasehold conveyancing matters
7. Conducting property searches via online portals
8. Using the Land Registry portal to submit applications, respond to requisitions, and obtain official copies, leases, and title documents
9. Preparing SDLT calculations and submitting applications
10. Producing bills, receipts, and payment requests for submission to the finance team
11. Providing occasional reception cover when required
Person Specification:
12. Previous experience in a conveyancing assistant or similar role is desirable
13. Good understanding of day-to-day legal office procedures
14. Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
15. Experience using case management systems
16. Excellent written and spoken English
17. Highly organised with strong administrative skills
18. Able to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure
19. Exceptional attention to detail
20. A basic understanding of the residential conveyancing process
Role Details:
21. Full-time, office-based role (Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:15pm, with a one-hour lunch break)
22. Immediate start available
