Overview:
A respected and long-established law firm based in Bury is seeking a Conveyancing Assistant or Legal Secretary to join their Residential Property team. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a supportive and friendly office environment, working closely with experienced conveyancers on a varied caseload of residential property transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing administrative and secretarial support to fee earners in the conveyancing department
* Preparing legal documentation and correspondence
* Managing client communications and enquiries
* Liaising with clients, solicitors, estate agents, and mortgage providers
* Maintaining accurate records and case files
* Handling file opening, closing, and compliance checks in line with firm procedures
Requirements:
* Experience working in a conveyancing support role (assistant or secretary level)
* Strong administrative skills with excellent attention to detail
* Confident using case management systems and Microsoft Office
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* A proactive, organised, and client-focused approach
Desirable:
* Knowledge of the residential conveyancing process
* Previous experience in a legal environment or conveyancing team
