JDR Recruitment are recruiting for Picker / Packers to work for a large distribution company based in Skelmersdale
Job Purpose
To ensure accurate and efficient picking, packing, and dispatching of products within a warehouse or distribution centre, meeting company productivity and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
* Pick products from warehouse shelves based on order sheets or handheld scanners
* Pack items securely and correctly to prevent damage during transit
* Label and prepare orders for dispatch
* Check quantities and product quality before packing
* Maintain accuracy and meet daily picking/packing targets
* Use warehouse equipment such as scanners, pallet trucks, or trolleys
* Keep work area clean, organised, and compliant with health & safety standards
* Report damaged or missing stock to supervisors
* Assist with stock replenishment and inventory checks when required

Skills & Experience Required
Essential:
* Good attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Basic numeracy and literacy skills
* Reliable and punctual
* Ability to follow instructions and procedures
Desirable:
* Previous warehouse or picker/packer experience
* Experience using handheld scanners or warehouse systems
* Basic IT skills

Working Hours
* Pickers - Monday - Friday 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm
* Packers - 9am-5pm
