Applications are invited for a part‑time (0.4 WTE) substantive Consultant Oral Surgeon. This post is based in the Dental & Maxillofacial Department at East Surrey Hospital, Redhill, Surrey.
Key Information
The Oral Surgery department at East Surrey Hospital (built in 2019) has dedicated facilities for diagnosis and treatment of adult and paediatric patients requiring dental alveolar surgery. The service is a consultant‑led service providing treatment under local anaesthetic, intravenous and general anaesthesia at East Surrey Hospital and Crawley Hospital.
Team
The appointee will join a supportive team comprising a part‑time Consultant Oral Surgeon, two Oral Surgery specialist trainees and two Speciality Dentists in Oral Surgery.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will provide a comprehensive oral surgery service for the local population and work alongside other consultants and senior clinicians in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Paediatric Dentistry, Special Care Dentistry and Orthodontics to advise and treat complex multidisciplinary cases within the department.
Qualifications and Registration
Applicants must be fully registered and be on the oral surgery specialist register (or be eligible within six months of the interview date) with the General Dental Council and hold Membership in Oral Surgery (MOralSurg) or an equivalent qualification.
