Salary:
£38,640 per annum.

Contract/Hours:
Permanent Full Time – 40 hours per week.

We not only have fabulous indoor provision providing children with amazing invitations to play grabbing children's curiosity through awe and wonder. Were very lucky to have a large outdoor space at The Hollies. The garden is divided into age-specific areas, with free flow access from the playroom.

The landscaped garden can be used no matter the weather, with soft grounding ensuring a safe and fun place for the children to explore and learn. In addition to your handovers, you'll receive access to our secure app which you'll receive a daily diary of feedback, newsletters, and other updates. With a quick glance around at drop off, you'll spot the menus, planning sheets and children's artwork all on display. We're always looking to add to the fun and broaden the experience of our little ones. Children love nature, so our regular walks around the community are always a hit, especially if we go via the park The highly qualified onsite cook provides freshly cooked homemade meals daily, catering for all dietary requirements.

The Hollies is conveniently located close to the centre of Taunton Town.

About the role

We're looking for an enthusiastic and pro-active Nursery Manager to join and lead our team at
Spring the Hollies in Taunton
to provide a safe, caring, fun and stimulating environment. You'll provide the highest standard of leadership and form strong and supportive relationships not only with your team, but also to our parents and children.

You'll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the nursery and work to develop, oversee and manage high quality, child centred provision of early years' education and day care services for children aged from birth to five years. Providing a direct management of your team of staff, together you'll promote and establish a working environment which the emotional, physical, social, psychological, physical, developmental and educational well-being of children is paramount.

Some other key responsibilities of your role will be;

* Actively engaging in marketing and advertising in order to develop an excellent reputation for the nursery.
* Supporting the development of an innovative approach to children's learning and play that is demonstrated by teams working well together within the setting.
* Undertaking the Designated Safeguarding Person and Registered Manager role in relation to Care Inspectorate Wales registration.
* Overseeing the recording and reporting of planning, observation and progression for all children including a full and thorough assessment of the setting against the National Minimum Standards and Early Childhood Play, Learning and Care framework.

Let's talk about you

In the role of Nursery Manager, we're ideally looking for someone who has:

* Minimum level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years.
* Leadership and management experience, in a childcare setting.
* Experience of working in a senior role within a nursery setting or centre working with children aged 0 to 5 years and their families.
* Leading a staff team, including supervision, work allocation, assessment or training and professional development.
* Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS, Ofsted requirements and relevant current legislation.
* Understanding of child protection processes, safeguarding and working with vulnerable children.
* Commitment to inclusive and non-discriminatory working practice with children, families, colleagues and the community.
