HGV Class 2 Day Driver – Birmingham
People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Day Driver to join our well-established client based in Birmingham, West Midlands.

Shifts
* Monday to Friday: 06:30 start times
Rates of Pay
* £14.50 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties
* Complete 4–6 drops per day (curtain-side work)
* Operate and drive Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently to and from delivery locations
* Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
* Ensure all loads are correctly secured using ratchet straps
* Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
* Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
* Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
* Assist with loading and unloading of cargo as required
Essential Skills
* Valid UK Category C Licence
* Minimum of 12 months’ experience driving Category C vehicles
* No more than six penalty points (no major endorsements)
* Valid UK CPC and Digital Tachograph Cards
* Good spoken and written English
* Reliable, punctual, and professional
* Good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
* Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Desirable Experience
* Previous commercial driving experience
* Multi-drop delivery experience
Training Provided
* Full induction provided prior to starting your first shift
