The Role
As a Majestic Trainee Manager, you will embark on a 12-month development programme that will give you a detailed understanding and experience of all operational, service & leadership standards expected to become a future Majestic Store Manager. You will work through the career pathway training programme with the support of your Store Manager, setting you up for future success.
Key Responsibilities
At Majestic Wine, our Customers are at the heart of everything we do. In this role, you’ll be an ambassador for the store, supporting the team to deliver an outstanding shopping experience for every customer.
* Drive store performance by maximising sales opportunities. Optimise KPI performance in store by identifying focus KPIs and building plans to improve them and exceed targets.
* Deliver exceptional market-leading customer service to drive business growth through customer loyalty & repeat purchases.
* Demonstrate proactive customer engagement by offering VIP concierge services, updating customers on products and tastings.
* Sell the story, not just discounts. Share your passion for products through in-depth knowledge, managing tasting events, and executing an enticing tasting counter.
* Take ownership of your wine knowledge, supporting your WSET qualification and confidence in selling.
* Ensure the store's appearance and maintenance meet high standards, both internally and externally.
* Participate in operational tasks such as delivering wine, merchandising stock, and contacting customers to drive sales.
* Identify opportunities for operational improvements to optimise store running efficiency.
* Remain fully compliant, safe, and legal by following policies, completing training, and adhering to regulations.
* Own your development, utilizing available resources and support.
* Be an example of Majestic’s Ways of Working and support junior team members, providing feedback to your Store Manager.
Knowledge & Skills Required
* Experience in a fast-paced, target-driven retail or hospitality environment.
* Ability to deliver exceptional customer experience and service.
* Prioritisation and problem-solving skills in high-pressure situations.
* Self-motivated, capable of working independently and as part of a team.
* Positive attitude with a passion for solving problems.
* Adaptability and resilience to business changes.
* Excellent communication and time management skills.
* Wine knowledge is beneficial; passion to learn more is essential for passing WSET levels 2 & 3.
* Hold a full UK/EU/EEA driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.
