Automotive Paint Technician / SMART Repair Specialist
J-TECH CUSTOMS is expanding and we are looking for an experienced Automotive Paint Technician to join our growing team.
We specialise in high-quality alloy wheel refurbishment, custom finishes and SMART repairs. Due to increased demand, we are seeking a skilled, self-sufficient painter who can manage repairs from start to finish without supervision.
The Role
You will be responsible for carrying out high-quality SMART repairs and paintwork to a professional, retail-ready standard. This role requires someone confident working independently and taking pride in delivering flawless results.
Key Responsibilities
* Carrying out SMART repairs to panels and bumpers
* Preparing vehicles for paint (filling, sanding, masking, priming)
* Colour matching and blending to a high standard
* Mixing and applying paint using professional spray equipment
* Lacquering and finishing to showroom quality
* Polishing and final finishing
* Managing jobs from assessment through to completion
* Maintaining a clean, organised working environment
Essential Requirements
* Proven experience as an automotive painter or SMART repair technician
* Strong colour matching and blending ability
* Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
* High attention to detail
* Professional attitude and strong work ethic
* Full UK driving licence
