Role Description
This is a contract role for a Lecturer in Engineering and Management, located on‑site at our campus in Edinburgh. The lecturer will be responsible for designing and delivering innovative, research‑informed teaching across a range of engineering and management courses. This includes developing teaching materials, leading lectures, seminars, and tutorials, supervising students' projects and dissertations, and contributing to the ongoing enhancement of the curriculum to ensure an exceptional student experience. Additionally, the role involves engaging in research activities, publishing high‑quality academic work, and participating in university committees and global collaboration initiatives.
Qualifications
* Strong academic foundation in Engineering, Management, or a related field, with a PhD or equivalent professional experience.
* Proven expertise in curriculum design, student teaching, and supervision of research projects.
* Ability to produce high‑quality, impactful research outputs in relevant fields.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborative work and teaching at an academic level.
* Demonstrated ability to utilize modern teaching and assessment tools, such as virtual learning environments.
* Commitment to advancing equality, diversity, and inclusion in education and research.
* Professional experience within or collaboration with the engineering or management industries is advantageous.
