Location: This position is full-time on-site in Dover, NH. The position holder will need to be within commuting distance (within 45 min).

Position: R&D Electrical Automation Engineer III
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Be a key member of a diverse project team developing custom automation solutions for complex challenges.
2. Design, program, simulate, and test automated machinery to streamline manufacturing processes, considering workflow, layout, and safety.
3. Lead the design, programming, and integration of electrical automation systems.
4. Evaluate and implement new methods or technologies for continual improvement.
5. Manage equipment procurement projects, interface with vendors, develop specifications, and review protocols.
6. Create and revise manufacturing documents, SOPs, safety instructions, validation protocols, and risk assessments.
7. Ensure compliance with international and local safety and regulatory standards.
8. Develop project timelines, scope, plans, and estimates; communicate progress effectively.
9. Lead design of experiments, validation, testing, and data analysis.
10. Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to junior engineers and technicians.
11. Troubleshoot complex automation issues to identify root causes and implement solutions.
12. Perform other tasks as assigned by the Research & Development Team Leader.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or related field; Electrical or Software engineering preferred.
* Minimum 6 years of product/process development experience.
* Background in automation control systems: PLC, HMI, motion control, vision systems, robots, etc.
* Experience with engineering systems, analysis methods, and business tools; familiarity with SolidWorks, GXWorks, C-More is a plus.
* Strong skills in statistical analysis, DOE, risk analysis, and safety reviews.
* Proficiency in electrical panel layout and documentation systems.
* Basic computer skills; ability to learn new software.
* Willingness to travel (<5%) domestically and internationally.
