Overview
Clinical Lead Speech & Language Therapist role at University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust. Band 7, based across Morecambe Bay within the stroke multidisciplinary team, developing the stroke-aligned speech and language therapy service and workforce.
Responsibilities
* Promote collaborative working practices within the Speech and Language Therapy Team across Morecambe Bay.
* Work within the Adult Speech Therapy service, contributing to stroke, non-stroke pathways, and opportunities for supervision, peer supervision and CPD.
* Support a 6 day service as required, with travel across Morecambe Bay (hospital, outpatient, community and telehealth settings).
* Contribute to the development of a national stroke service model and ISNDN-related workstreams, and regional peer support networks.
* Offer leadership, service development, multidisciplinary integration, facilitation of learning and practitioner wellbeing.
* Engage in evidence-based practice and innovative solutions in an evolving stroke therapy landscape.
Qualifications
* Speech and Language Therapy Degree (Essential).
* Experience of working in both acute and community settings with patients with a stroke (Essential).
* 2 years leadership experience with evidence of leadership courses (Essential).

* Current UK professional registration is required.
* This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and there may be a Disclosure to the DBS (formerly CRB).
