Orthodontics at FoDOCS is based at Guy’s Hospital (Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust), King’s College Hospital (King’s College Hospital Foundation Trust) and Queen Mary Hospital Sidcup. About the role This is a 4 year fixed-term dentist in training clinical lecturer post in orthodontics at ST4-5 level. The successful applicant will spend 6 sessions undertaking clinical training at ST4-5 level based at King’s College Hospital and Queen Mary Hospital Sidcup; and 4 sessions of research based at FoDOCS (Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital). Clinical training will provide experience in multidisciplinary care at ST4-5 level, including orthodontic-surgical and orthodontic-restorative care with some experience of cleft care. The post will provide training to sit the ISFE examination in orthodontics. The post will also provide the opportunity to supervise MSc in orthodontics postgraduate students in the clinical and research environments, and provide didactic teaching to postgraduate and undergraduate students. The successful applicant will be expected to develop a research protocol and register for a part-time PhD at King’s College London. This is a full time (40 hours per week), and you will be offered an a 4-year fixed term contract until September 2029.
