The Role
As General Plant Manager, you will be responsible for the full site operation, covering production, supply chain, technical and support functions.
* Lead day to day site operations across production, logistics, technical and back office teams
* Commission and scale new production lines, improving output, efficiency and quality
* Take full ownership of food safety, quality and regulatory compliance including BRC and HACCP
* Build and deliver a clear site growth plan covering people, process and capacity
* Set and deliver production, cost and margin targets in line with business expectations
* Develop a strong leadership team and create a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
This General Plant Manager role is not about steady state. It is about growth, change and getting a site to where it needs to be.
The Person
To be considered for the General Plant Manager role, you will need:
* Proven experience as a Plant Manager or General Manager within FMCG manufacturing
* Strong knowledge of food safety and compliance standards including BRC and HACCP
* A track record of scaling operations, improving performance or leading change on site
* The ability to operate both strategically and hands on when needed
* Experience building and developing teams through periods of growth
* Resilience and the judgement to make decisions in a changing environment
