Interim Homelessness Officer - Staffordshire A council in Staffordshire is looking to appoint an experienced Housing Options / Homelessness Officer on a three‑month interim contract, offering £30-£32 per hour (umbrella). This role focuses on delivering effective homelessness prevention and supporting vulnerable households through informed decision‑making and legislative expertise. Role Overview Deliver housing options interviews and statutory duty appointments, undertaking assessments, casework, and issuing Section 184 decisions. Assess the housing and support needs of individuals who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, ensuring appropriate interventions are identified.What We're Looking For Proven track record of managing complex homelessness cases from initial assessment through to final decision. Previous experience within a local authority or housing association housing options service. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage a varied and demanding caseload independently. A proactive and creative approach to homelessness prevention.
