The Vascular Science Unit has an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team. This fixed term maternity cover position is well suited to an individual that is looking to advance their career in administration, leadership and management in a clinical setting in a thriving and supportive workplace. You will be the operational and line manager for the scientific support team, responsible for planning and organising the workload and nurturing the development of the team. You will also work closely with the vascular scientists to ensure the effective running of the department and engage in improvement initiatives.
-Responsible for the day-to-day management of the Scientific Support Team.
-Organise team workload to meet the demands of the service, ensuring that cover is maintained.
-Line manager for named members of the Scientific Support Team.
-Provide training, mentoring and support for the Scientific Support Team.
-Organise and implement changes to working practice and service delivery in conjunction with the Head of Vascular Science.
-Communicate with senior managers, scientists, clinicians, patients and
relatives.
-Investigate and resolve clinical incidents alongside the Head of Service.
