The Vascular Science department is a patient facing ultrasound service. The team includes 3 Vascular Associates and 10 Clinical Vascular Scientists. The Vascular Science Associate role provides clinical support and administrative/reception needs for the department, contributing to the effective and safe running of the Vascular Science service. You don’t have to have prior knowledge of vascular ultrasound, we’ll provide training.
1. This is a blended administrative and patient facing post. You will coordinate patient appointments, process referrals and deal with queries. You will also prepare patients for ultrasound examinations, support the scientist, and help maintain patient flow throughout the department.
2. Effectively using basic skills in Microsoft Office with attention to detail. Admin experience is desirable, but not essential.
3. Effective communication skills and great teamwork are important.
4. The ability to prioritise and manage your time effectively so that you can coordinate multiple tasks without needing continual supervision.
