This is a permanent role suited to someone who wants to develop, contribute ideas and build genuine technical depth.The opportunityThis role blends mechanical design, customer engagement and product innovation.You will:
* Work directly with architects, M&E consultants and project engineers on building services schemes.
* Review P&IDs, HVAC layouts and piping systems.
* Recommend and implement 5–10% design improvements to optimise performance and manufacturability.
* Take ownership of Design-to-Order projects (~70% of your time).
* Contribute to new product concepts, standards and future solutions (~30%).

* A strong Mechanical Design Engineering background.
* Experience in architectural, M&E/building services, HVAC, or piping design environments.

* A consultative, customer-focused approach with the ability to challenge and refine designs.
