Requirement
The HSEQ Lead Advisor is responsible for supporting and advising the business on risk management, health, safety, and environmental matters. This role involves implementing all HSEQ policies and practices across all company activities, both on-site and off-site.
The successful candidate will report directly to the HSEQ Manager and assist in integrating HSEQ policies, procedures, and practices into tendered or contracted work packages. They should have relevant marine or fabrication experience and hold a NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, along with Lead Auditor qualifications in ISO 9001, 14001, or 45001.
The HSEQ Lead Advisor will work closely with HSEQ Advisors, providing guidance on daily activities, and will regularly visit all sites to ensure compliance. They will also liaise with clients to understand their HSEQ requirements and ensure company standards are met, fostering a safe and environmentally responsible work environment.
The role includes supporting the HSEQ Manager with quality system implementation and ensuring ongoing compliance with safety and environmental standards, prioritizing health and wellbeing.
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Developing and maintaining a positive safety culture.
* Overseeing HSEQ Advisors across all sites.
* Mentoring and coaching HSEQ staff.
* Traveling monthly to various sites.
* Building relationships with port authority HSEQ management.
* Assisting in the creation and management of departmental improvement plans.
* Leading HSEQ investigations and closing incident reports.
* Managing non-conformance and process improvement reports.
* Sharing lessons learned from investigations across sites.
* Leading internal and external audits.
* Chairing safety committee meetings and participating in district meetings.
* Implementing safety initiatives and conducting inspections.
* Contributing to pre-qualification questionnaires and tendering processes.
* Analyzing HSEQ performance data for reports.
* Supporting safety culture platforms and observation systems.
* Reviewing emergency response drills and liaising with fire services.
* Promoting safety initiatives and campaigns.
* Deputizing for the HSEQ Manager as needed and performing other delegated tasks.
