Position Overview:
At Saab, we are constantly pushing the boundaries of what is technically possible. As part of our expansion in the UK, we are seeking talented and motivated Systems Engineers to support our radar and sensors growth activities at our Farnborough or Fareham offices.
Much of our current work involves the G1X radar, Saab’s newest radar product—a software-defined radar with regular capability updates and an established production line. As a Systems Engineer, you will work with current products, developing enhancements and exploring new areas for product growth.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for activities across the product lifecycle, including:
1. Supporting bid activities
2. Requirements management
3. Radar performance analysis
4. System and sub-system design
5. Supporting customer demonstrations
6. Travel within the UK and abroad (including to the Gothenburg office)
Required Skills:
* Positive, social, results-oriented team player with a background in systems engineering
* Minimum of 5 years' experience with radar, communications, or EW systems
* Experience working with MATLAB, preferably with recorded radar data
* Experience with industry-standard requirements management tools
* Knowledge of principles from ISO/IEC 15288:2023
* Familiarity with product road mapping and lifecycle techniques
* Enjoy working in and developing within a team
* Capable of working independently and collaboratively
* Strong technical communication skills
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
* UK or Swedish citizenship, as tasks involve handling classified military materials
