Production Supervisor

Our client, a highly respected manufacturer based in the Alton area, is looking to appoint a Production Supervisor to drive operational excellence and support ongoing business growth.
Responsibilities
* Ensuring a safe working environment with full compliance to Health & Safety and COSHH requirements
* Leading and developing teams of Production Leaders, Deputies and Operatives
* Ensuring quality, cost and delivery targets are met consistently
* Monitoring KPIs, reporting performance and driving actionable improvements
* Managing headcount and workforce planning inline with business demands and budget
* Coaching and developing team leaders through structured frameworks (SBI, 7 Habits, accountability ladder, etc.)
* Managing performance, setting clear objectives and supporting talent development
* Overseeing training and onboarding programmes to ensure flexibility and consistency across departments
* Handling staffing matters including holiday management, absence monitoring, conflict resolution and first-stage people issues
* Working collaboratively with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, H&S and NPI teams
* Supporting process improvement, resource planning and operational efficiency projects
* Monitoring build quality, documentation, and production output to identify improvement opportunities
Skills and Knowledge
* Previous experience as a Production or Manufacturing Supervisor
* Strong leadership skills with a track record of developing high-performing teams
* Data-driven, confident analysing and presenting KPIs
* Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, health & safety and continuous improvement
* A proactive, collaborative leader who brings stability, structure and motivation to the team
