Your new role
As a HLTA, you will:
1. Plan and deliver engaging lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
2. Lead targeted interventions for small groups and individual pupils.
3. Support curriculum planning and resource preparation.
4. Work across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 to raise attainment and close learning gaps.
5. Provide specialist support for pupils with SEND or SEMH needs.
6. Assess and report on pupil progress and behaviour.
7. Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to implement effective strategies.
What you'll need to succeed
8. HLTA status or equivalent Level 4/5 qualification.
9. Proven experience supporting learning across primary key stages.
10. Strong understanding of the National Curriculum.
11. Ability to lead lessons independently and manage classroom behaviour.
12. Excellentmunication and interpersonal skills.
13. Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
