Overview
We are seeking to appoint a dedicated, passionate, and highly organised Head of Year to join our pastoral team. This is a key role within the academy, where you will:
* Lead and inspire a year group, fostering high expectations, positive attitudes, and a strong ethos of achievement.
* Oversee the academic progress, attendance, behaviour, and wellbeing of pupils within the year group.
* Lead and support a team of Form Tutors, providing guidance and celebrating successes.
* Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure pupils are fully supported.
* Play a key role in whole‑school initiatives, assemblies, and events.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong interpersonal skills, resilience, and a passion for making a difference in the lives of young people.
Candidate profile

* Able to motivate and inspire young people to reach their full potential.
* Skilled in building positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
* Knowledgeable about safeguarding and experienced in supporting young people.
Experience of working with young people, families, and external agencies is essential. Experience with SIMS/CPOMS and leading assemblies is desirable but not essential.
