Job Role: Deputy Manager Children's Home Location: Burton upon Trent Salary £39,000 DOE plus time and a third for overtime Shifts & Sleep in's : 11 Sleeps per month Service: Children’s Residential Care Home Service Users: Young People age 6 to 17, Emotional Behaviour Disorder Home Size: 3 Young People is Max occupancy Reporting To: Registered Manager Contract Type: Permanent / Full-Time Qualification Required: Level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care Min Experience Required: at least 2 years’ experience relevant to residential care in the last 5 years Excellent opportunity for an experienced, qualified candidate to join the team in one of our children's residential homes. Benefits: Competitive pay and sleep-in allowance Enhanced overtime rate of time and a third Access to the employee wellbeing programme 28 days annual leave entitlement, rising to 33 days with 5 years of service The main duties of this role include: To lead the team to deliver high-quality care to our young people To ensure that all risks are safely managed in line with the company policies and procedures To communicate effectively with the team regarding the plans for the day To review the young people's care plans and other associated documentation To undertake an in-depth quality and bespoke training package To attend/chair staff meetings and be proactive in developing and improving the service model Job Requirements: To provide positive parenting To have exceptional communication skills To have sound working knowledge of current legislation e.g., Children's Homes Regulations 2015 (including quality standards) Essential Requirements: Must have a full manual driving licence Must be fully flexible and have the ability to work unsociable shift patterns Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or equivalent The desire to develop into a Registered Children's Home Manager If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young people and would like to join our client's professional and dedicated team, they encourage you to apply today.
