Overview
Quality Control Supervisor to lead our Powder Blending and New Product Development (NPD) team. Location: Widnes, Warrington. Salary: £32,500 per annum – depending on experience. Flexible working hours.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the quality control processes for powder blending operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
* Lead a team of technicians and scientists to maintain high quality and safety standards.
* Test raw materials for compliance against agreed specifications and create powder blends to ensure accurate replication and practical testing methods.
* Collaborate with R&D on new product development, providing insights and support during trials.
* Develop and implement testing protocols, ensuring accurate and timely results while maintaining lab equipment up to date.
* Conduct regular audits of production processes and documentation to uphold quality assurance.
* Provide training to team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience in a supervisory role within a lab or QC environment, preferably in powder blending, dairy or related manufacturing processes.
* Strong knowledge of quality assurance standards and regulatory requirements.
* Experience with powder or dry blending, able to understand and analyse techniques.
* Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
* Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Experience in New Product Development is highly desirable.
* A degree in a relevant scientific field (Chemistry, Food Science, Engineering, etc.) is preferred.
* A proactive attitude with a commitment to quality and safety.
