About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and driven Construction Recruitment Consultant to join our team. You will be responsible for sourcing, assessing, and placing skilled professionals across the construction and engineering sectors, while building strong relationships with both clients and candidates.
This role involves 3 days a week in our office in Romford, to work with the team and work closely with clients, understanding project requirements, and ensuring that workforce needs are met efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
🔹 Candidate Sourcing & Placement
Attract, source, and place skilled trades, engineering, and construction professionals.
Conduct detailed candidate assessments, interviews, and right-to-work checks.
Manage the full 360 recruitment process from sourcing to placement.
🔹 Client Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with construction firms, site managers, and project leads.
Attend regular site visits to understand workforce demands and project timelines.
Provide ongoing support throughout each assignment.
🔹 Workforce Planning & Advisory
Advise clients on talent availability, market trends, and workforce planning.
Consult on pay rates, contract structures, and hiring strategies.
🔹 Contract Negotiation
Negotiate pay rates, day rates, and contract terms with both clients and candidates.
Ensure profitable and fair placements that meet project budgets.
🔹 Onboarding & Compliance
Coordinate onboarding, inductions, and compliance checks for all placed personnel.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in line with industry standards.
What We’re Looking For
Previous experience in construction recruitment, trades & labour, M&E, or engineering recruitment (preferred).
Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple roles simultaneously.
Full UK driving licence (due to onsite requirements).
Salary & Benefits
£25,000 – £30,000 basic salary (DOE)
