We're working with a well-established media group with 24 specialist brands (soon to be 26)—each serving unique audiences across sectors from mining and manufacturing to FinTech.
They're on the lookout for a
Lead Data Engineer/Data Manager
to step into a pivotal role for the business. You'll be the technical lead for all things data, overseeing two experienced Data Analysts, while still staying hands-on with SQL, ETL, and warehouse design.

centralised data bank
and a complete

* Consolidate siloed datasets from dozens of SaaS tools into a structured, scalable
Google BigQuery
warehouse before leading a future migration to Snowflake.
* Shape the company's long-term data infrastructure while working closely with software engineers, commercial teams, and senior leadership.
* Step into (or grow within) a leadership role, mentoring and guiding a small but highly capable data team.
What we're looking for:
* Strong SQL skills across both database administration and data analysis.
* Solid understanding of database structures, low-level architecture, and normalization principles.
* Proven experience in ETL, data ingestion, and integration processes.
* Hands-on expertise with
Data Warehousing.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work across commercial and technical teams.
* Management experience is beneficial—but we're happy to consider someone ready for their first leadership step.
The details:
* Based in Norwich, with 3–4 days per week in the office and the rest remote.
* Salary up to £60,000 for the right candidate.
