This job title will be mapped internally to Senior Talent Acquisition Business Partner and will report into the Head of Talent Acquisition.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

This is a unique opportunity to shape the BBC’s leadership future. As Head of Executive Talent Acquisition, you’ll lead the strategy for identifying and engaging senior leaders who will drive the BBC’s mission to inform, educate and entertain. You’ll oversee a high-performing team, deliver inclusive and evidence-based search practices, and ensure our executive hiring reflects the BBC’s values and ambitions.

This role is instrumental in shaping the BBC’s leadership pipeline. By delivering a world-class executive search function, you’ll help ensure the BBC attracts and retains the talent needed to deliver its public service mission and strategic priorities.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT

* Lead the BBC’s Executive Search and Market Mapping strategy, informed by global best practice and future trends.
* Deliver complex, senior-level searches aligned with strategic workforce priorities.
* Partner with senior leaders to shape succession planning and future capability.
* Inspire and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence and inclusion.
* Ensure operational excellence through robust KPIs, quality standards, and efficient delivery.
* Champion inclusive hiring and embed evidence-based assessment practices.
* Position the BBC as an employer of choice for executive talent through strategic branding and sourcing.


YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE


ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

* Extensive in-house executive search and market mapping experience in complex, matrixed organisations.
* Proven success in designing and delivering enterprise-wide executive search strategies.
* Deep understanding of inclusive hiring and evidence-based methodologies.
* Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills at senior levels.
* Demonstrable experience in leading and developing high-performing teams.
* Strategic thinker with systemic HR and workforce planning expertise.
* Skilled in change management, succession planning and capability building.
* Commercial acumen with ability to translate data into actionable insights.
* Knowledge of employment law, HR technologies, and strategic workforce planning.
* Strong network within the executive search and talent acquisition community.
