Overview
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Duty Manager to oversee daily operations within our hospitality establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of food and beverage services, and the ability to manage a dynamic team effectively. Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the restaurant, ensuring smooth operations throughout shifts.
* Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, maintaining quality standards and adherence to food safety regulations.
* Manage team members, including supervising staff, delegating tasks, and providing guidance to optimise performance.
* Ensure exceptional customer service by addressing guest needs promptly and professionally.
* Maintain compliance with health and safety standards across all areas, including food safety and hygiene protocols.
* Assist in organising staff schedules, training programmes, and performance evaluations.
* Handle customer complaints or concerns efficiently to uphold the establishment's reputation.
* Support in managing inventory levels for food production, beverages, and other supplies.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and presentation.
* Uphold hospitality standards by creating a welcoming environment for guests and staff alike.
Requirements
* Proven experience in supervising within a restaurant or hospitality setting, ideally with culinary or kitchen experience.
* Strong background in food preparation, cooking, serving, and food safety practices.
* Demonstrable leadership skills with experience in team management and staff supervision.
* Knowledge of food production processes, kitchen operations, and hospitality industry standards.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
* Previous experience in hotel or barista roles is advantageous but not essential.
* A professional approach to customer service with excellent communication skills.
* Relevant qualifications in food safety or hospitality management are preferred but not mandatory. Pay: £13.00-£14.50 per hour
