The Quantity Surveyor requirement: Based out of Grimsby, this full-time, Quantity Surveyor position involves travel across Northern England, supporting refurbishment projects through effective commercial management, cost control, and contractual expertise. This is a fantastic opportunity for an established Quantity surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to step into a key role, helping deliver socially valuable projects while ensuring commercial success. Key Responsibilities Secure full contractual entitlement and maximise commercial returns. Monitor project costs, revenue, and cash flow forecasts. Manage subcontractor procurement and performance. Provide timely support and commercial advice to project teams. Oversee invoicing, client communications, and dispute resolution. Drive consistent application of company values, policies, and governance. Identify and mitigate commercial risks early in the project lifecycle. Essential Criteria Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a similar sector 5 GCSEs (grade C or above), A-levels, and a construction-related qualification. Experience in Social Housing Refurbishment contracts. Solid understanding of construction contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC). Proficiency in Excel (V-Lookup, Pivot Tables, formulas).
