As the Reception and Administration Officer, you will create a welcoming environment for young people aged 12 to 25 seeking mental health and wellbeing support. Based in Warwick you’ll provide administration support, ensuring the effective operation of the centre.
This role includes a mix of normal business hours and some out of hours work (the centre offers later appointments on Thursdays, so everyone has access to health care). Details of these hours/times will be discussed during your interview.
About the role:
Working closely with the Centre Manager, your role will include:
4. Managing the teams’ schedules and appointments;
5. Being the first point of contact for young people and their families;
6. Ensure all administrative processes are delivered in line with relevant healthcare regulations, privacy requirements, and quality standards;
7. Processing the Medicare billings and attendance;
8. Build and maintain strong working relationships with health professionals, community organisations, and service providers;
9. Being involved in new staff inductions and organising training for staff;
10. Assisting the Centre Manager with reporting and community engagements/ events; and
11. Preparing business documents.
About you:
To be successful in this role, you will have a good understanding of administration and reception and have the ability to work within a sensitive, youth mental health setting. This requires empathy, discretion and strong interpersonal skills. Awareness of and an interest in mental health programs or community services, will be well regarded. You will also require a:
12. Driver’s licence;
13. Police Check; and
14. Valid Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
