Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Head of Sales – Ethnic (North) to lead our ethnic channel sales across Northern UK. This is a key leadership role, responsible for developing strategic customer relationships, driving growth, and leading a high-performing team of regional sales managers. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the regional commercial strategy, increasing market penetration, and ensuring operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver a robust sales strategy for the ethnic channel in the North.
- Lead and support a team of Regional Sales Managers, ensuring performance targets are met.
- Build and manage senior relationships with key retail and wholesale partners.
- Identify market opportunities and develop initiatives to increase brand visibility and sales.
- Monitor sales performance and provide accurate forecasting and reporting.
- Work closely with Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to ensure commercial alignment.
- Stay abreast of competitor activity and market trends to inform decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with all commercial policies and procedures.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a senior sales leadership role within the FMCG or ethnic grocery sector.
- Strong understanding of the UK ethnic trade landscape, particularly in the North.
- Demonstrable success in leading and developing sales teams.
- Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Commercially astute with a strong analytical mindset.
- Willingness to travel frequently within the region.
