The role involves managing a caseload of service users with complex needs, using evidence based/service user centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions. As part of the role as a lead clinician, you will be responsible for assessment and completion of comprehensive formulation of risk and treatment needs. Within the service, you will work alongside the MDT in the development and delivery of multi-modal group and 1:1 therapeutic intervention as well as provide specialist assessments to those being transferred to the secure training facility as required. You will also provide support, supervision and leadership within the MDT. You will also hold a caseload of patients with varying difficulties including complete health and social care needs responding effectively to the changing needs of the patient caseload. Qualifications HCPC registered Occupational Therapist. Sensory trained (e.g. Ayres Sensory Integration trained) Experience in conducting diagnostic neurodevelopmental/ specialist developmental assessments with children and young people. Experience working with children and young people with neurodevelopmental disorders or mental health difficulties in a clinical setting. Knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic criteria and appropriate assessment tools for autism and ADHD. Knowledge of differential diagnosis. Ideally ADOS-2/ ADI-R trained. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team. Experience in report writing and record keeping. Additional qualifications in relevant areas of autism and/ or ADHD. Clinical Supervision integral to the role. Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
