Job description: We have an opportunity for a Senior Vehicle Performance Engineer to join the team at the new Silverstone Facility. In this role, you will lead and undertake tasks related to vehicle performance simulation, analysis, model development, and simulator operations. We aspire to be the best in every aspect of our team. Team members are encouraged to challenge established thinking and share ideas to foster a collaborative environment.
What you will be doing:
* Work closely with the Head of Performance Analysis to define strategic direction and plan work requirements based on available resources.
* Undertake performance, simulation, and vehicle dynamics projects to improve:
o Short-term performance
o Long-term performance
o Simulation and analysis tool development
* Provide engineering support to Design, Aero, Strategy, and Race Engineering groups.
* Manage simulator operations.
* Develop and maintain departmental administration and reporting procedures.
Requirements:
* High-level motorsport performance or vehicle dynamics experience.
* Experience developing and running vehicle and tire simulation models.
* Strong understanding of physics and math related to high-performance vehicles.
* Experience with Python or MATLAB / Simulink.
* Ability to lead projects and mentor junior team members.
* Capacity to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Open to new ideas and approaches.
* Ability to perform duties accurately and efficiently.
* Effective communication skills across departments.
* Proficiency in IT skills including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace.
