About Us
The Vale of Glamorgan Community Adult Community Learning Services comprises four main programmes:
* Get Back on Track – Free courses to eligible learners, 10 weeks or one-day workshops, accredited; Digital Skills, Employability, Skills for the workplace, Confidence and British Sign Language; based at Palmerston Community Learning Centre, Barry and outreach across the Vale.
* Essential Skills and E.S.O.L. (English for speakers of other languages) – English and Maths workshops at various levels, accreditation options including Agored Cymru and City and Guilds; E.S.O.L. workshops; based at the Vale Learning Centre within Barry Library.
* Vale Courses – Leisure courses across Arts, Crafts, Cookery, Music, Modern Foreign Languages, Photography, Counselling and Health and Fitness; daytimes or evenings for ten weeks, and one day workshops; courses online and at venues across the Vale.
* Learn Welsh – Complete Welsh course offerings for adults from Entry to proficiency, with multiple pace options and distance learning; venues across the Vale and online using Zoom.

About The Role
Pay Details: JNC Youth and Community Professional Range Point 14 – £30,750 (Full Salary), £14.78 (Hourly Rate).
Hours of Work: Various part-time sessions as required; typical sessions are 2–3 hours, mornings, afternoons, or evenings. Courses may run for 5 to 30 weeks and may include one-day workshops and taster courses.
Main Place of Work: Various Adult Education Centres and outreach venues across the Vale of Glamorgan, including Libraries, jobcentres and Community Centres. Some courses may be online via Zoom or other platforms.
Role: Part-time sessional tutors for a range of Adult Education programmes across the Vale of Glamorgan. Current needs in the following subjects:
* Digital Skills
* Skills for the Workplace (e.g. First Aid, Health and Safety)
* S.O.L. (Skills for Everyday Living)
* Essential Skills: English and/or Maths
* Welsh for Adults

About You
You will need:
* A good level of education and strong literacy and numeracy.
* A high level of knowledge and experience in your subject area.
* A relevant teaching qualification or be working towards one.
* Experience of teaching or training adults (desirable).
* A relevant Practitioners Qualification (desirable for ESOL/Essential Skills).
* Understanding of assessment or experience delivering accredited programmes.
* Confidence delivering learning using digital technology.
* Ability to deliver hybrid learning (face-to-face and online) or willingness to undertake training.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to deliver engaging and creative learning.
* An understanding of adult learner needs and empathy for vulnerable learners.
* Willingness to undertake further training as required.
