Our client is a UK investment banking boutique specializing in FIG M&A (asset and wealth management sector). The firm has an excellent reputation and track record in the City, with Partners from US Bulge Bracket banks, Elite Boutiques, and Global Independents.
The firm is seeking to hire an Analyst (Ideally Analyst 2 or Analyst 3 level) in London to join the expanding team.
Role Overview:
As an Analyst 2, with at least 12 months experience in M&A (sector not necessarily in FIG), you will lead high-impact M&A transactions, conduct financial analysis, and build client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
* Execute and manage M&A transactions in asset and wealth management sectors, including analysis, due diligence, valuation, and deal structuring.
* Provide financial insights to support decision-making and strategies.
* Research industry trends and market conditions to identify acquisition targets and opportunities.
* Stay updated on industry regulations and market developments relevant to asset and wealth management.
* Collaborate with legal, compliance, and tax teams to ensure smooth transaction execution.
* Coordinate with stakeholders to meet transaction goals and deadlines.
* Maintain relationships with clients and industry contacts to generate new business.
* Advise clients strategically throughout transactions.
* Prepare reports, presentations, and materials for stakeholders.
* Communicate complex financial concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or related field.
* Experience in executing M&A transactions; experience in asset and wealth management or FIG is a plus but not required.
* Strong financial analysis and modeling skills, proficiency in Excel and valuation techniques.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments, with a team-oriented approach.
* High integrity, professionalism, and discretion handling confidential information.
