We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Fraud Manager, ASP WSB - WHOLESALE NON-FINANCIAL RISK C.
Principal responsibilities
· Locally deploy the Global and ASP Fraud Strategy for the operation of in scope fraud controls to deliver risk owner objectives.
· Locally deploy the globally and regionally defined processes and procedures that ensure the effective execution of fraud controls.
· Orchestrate the synchronised operation of in scope controls, setting and monitoring performance levels, challenging effectiveness and driving control owners to innovate and improve their controls.
· Support the Head of Fraud, ASP WSB in being the contact point for ASP WSB relied-upon fraud controls (whether or not it is ASP WSB owned or not), providing stakeholders with advice on the prioritisation of fraud controls as well as an escalation route for ineffective operation.
· Ensure the effectiveness of in scope controls through the critical assessment of clear and concise management information on the performance of their controls provided by control operators.
· A consistent and effective, globally and regionally aligned strategy is in place and consistently endorsed or applied by stakeholders and control operators.
· Consistent fraud performance parameters are in place and indicators consistency demonstrate effective operation.
· Evidence Lines of Business strategies are understood and support of those plans within fraud controls is evidenced.
· Evidence of effective assessment, challenge and escalation that consistently improves control performance.
· Action plans for ineffective controls implemented to completion.
· Advising control operators on prioritisation of potentially divergent and conflicting requirements from a broad range of stakeholders in a BAU context.
· Responsible to ASP WSB for the co-ordination of the controls which deliver the level of fraud mitigation, customer experience and operational cost determined by the risk owner
· Identify new or enhanced requirements for fraud mitigation controls, working with key stakeholders such as ASP Fraud Analytics, ASP Fraud Change and transformation to influence change initiatives that improve the fraud control environment for ASP WSB.
· Develop, strengthen and leverage external relationships with key public and private sector partners and peers in connection with fraud controls
· Provide global SME advice and guidance on the application of new fraud controls or adjustment of existing fraud controls.
· Contribute to governance that ensures Line of Business, DBS and Compliance stakeholders are providing clear leadership and direction on the operation of fraud controls.
· Provide strategic leadership by helping to ensure all verticals are aligned and delivering the Global Fraud Strategy.
· Through action and strong leadership ensure personnel own and optimize Fraud decisions to grow sustainable, risk adjusted profits.
· Serve as delegate for the Asia Head of Fraud at formal governance for all aspects of fraud control operation, ensuring senior Line of Business, DBS and Compliance stakeholders have a rounded understanding of the effectiveness of the in scope controls.
· Provide challenge and escalation for in scope controls that are sub optimal ensuring responsible control owners have robust remediation plans.
· Maintain close working relationships with Global Fraud Management, Markets fraud management and Asia GPB booking centre colleagues. Ensure control activities deliver appropriate threat mitigation for fraud risks.
· Provide Risk Steward’s with SME guidance on controls to assist with setting of Risk Control Library content, Risk Appetite Statements and aligned Key Indicators & metrics.
· Liaise with ASP Fraud Management MI team to provide 1LOD PB Fraud MI and commentary for 1LOD forums.
Requirements
· Bachelor's Degree or above is preferred for senior manager role.
· Experience in working with controls that manage fraud risk.
· Experience working for or with one or more lines of business.
· A background or understanding of operational risk is desireable.
· Influencing skills, including the ability to commuincate on a diverse range of topics to mutliple stakeholders.
· Ability to articulate complex and sensitive information and situations in meaningful and easily understood terms.
· Confident to challenge when dealing with senior stakeholders.
· Able to influence change without direct responsibility for resources or budget.
· Ability to prioritize conflicting demands and problem solve in a dynamic environment.
· Experience of leading a team that delivers results aligned to long term business goals.
· Able to identify where process changes will improve operational efficiency.
Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
