THE ROLE
You will take strategic and operational responsibility for a large, geographically diverse national fleet of approximately 200 vehicles (3.5T–18T). Working closely with operational managers across the UK, you will ensure the fleet runs smoothly, safely, and in full regulatory compliance — all while keeping a firm grip on costs and service standards.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
* Leading the management of a diverse, multi-weight national fleet Ensuring full compliance including Operator's Licence oversight
* Supporting regional managers with driver and vehicle compliance Building strong relationships with internal teams and external suppliers
* Overseeing workshops and service standards across the network Managing fleet costs, fines, and day-to-day expenditure
* Handling fleet administration — V5s, purchase orders, and more
* Producing weekly performance and compliance reports for senior leadership
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
* Transport Manager CPC — essential
* Proven, recent hands-on fleet management experience
* Strong knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
* Experience managing commercial vehicles — highly desirable
* Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities at pace
