Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Nursery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our childcare facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children, and maintaining high standards of early childhood education. Responsibilities
* Lead and supervise nursery staff, fostering a positive team environment through effective management and leadership.
* Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that promote children's learning and development.
* Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and safeguarding regulations to maintain a secure environment for children and staff.
* Build strong relationships with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on children's progress and addressing any concerns.
* Organise staff rotas, oversee daily operations, and ensure the nursery runs smoothly and efficiently.
* Manage administrative duties including record keeping, budgeting, and reporting requirements.
* Support staff training and professional development to uphold high standards of childcare provision.
* Maintain the nursery's facilities, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and suitability for children's activities.
* Drive the nursery's ethos of inclusivity, diversity, and child-centred care.
Experience
* Proven management experience within a nursery or early childhood education setting.
* Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
* Extensive experience working with children in childcare or educational environments.
* Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
* Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate operational needs such as transporting supplies or attending external meetings.
* Previous experience in childcare management roles is highly desirable but not essential for all applicants; relevant qualifications in early childhood education are advantageous.
