Job Overview:
Join our team as an Class 1 driver, operating Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs) to ensure efficient and secure delivery of packages. Responsibilities:
* Package Delivery: Safely transport parcels to designated locations, maintaining delivery schedules and ensuring customer satisfaction. Transport parcels between depots. Collect parcels from well-known customers, including full trailer collections and drop and swap operations.
* Route Navigation: Plan and follow optimal delivery routes using GPS and route planning tools, prioritizing efficiency and timely deliveries.
* Vehicle Maintenance: Responsible for the upkeep and cleanliness of the assigned vehicle, ensuring it's in optimal condition for daily operations.
* Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers during deliveries, providing assistance and addressing any concerns or inquiries.
* Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, prioritizing safe driving practices and maintaining a clean driving record.
* Communication: Maintain open communication with dispatchers and team members to report any issues or delays encountered during deliveries.

* Competitive Pay Rates:
* £14.50 per hour (including paid breaks) for regular shifts.
* £25 per night out for overnight shifts.
* £15.50 per hour for overtime shifts.
Schedule:
* Day and Afternoon Shifts available, Monday to Friday (Trunking)
* Day and Afternoon Shifts available, Monday to Friday (Tramping)
* Weekend shifts available upon request.
Licence/Certification Requirements:
* C+E Driving Licence (2 years experience required)
* Driver CPC
* Digital Tachograph Card
* UK Driving Licence (No IN/DR/DG endorsements)
