Hesselbrand is looking for an architect to join its team in London, UK.
Hesselbrand is an international architecture practice with offices in London and Oslo, working on a wide range of projects in the UK, US and EMEA. Current projects include high end residential, retail and hospitality projects.
We are looking for talented, design driven individuals to play a key role within our team. If you are a Part 2 Architectural Assistant, you should have a minimum of two to three years’ of work experience post-graduation. If you are a Part 3 Architect, you should have experience from all RIBA Work Stages.
All candidates should have a strong commitment to design, excellent technical and project management skills, and enjoy working in a collaborative environment. The role includes running projects on a daily basis and leading the design team with clarity and attention to detail. The candidate would be reporting directly to the company directors, and a proactive, confident, can-do attitude is essential.
Candidates can expect to work on a wide range of projects such as hotels and restaurants, retail spaces, temporary exhibitions and events, as well as private residential and housing developments.
The role is studio-based, five days per week, in our London office.
Responsibilities
* Design and delivery of projects in all stages, from concept to completion
* Daily running of projects with direct client correspondence
* Time management of projects
* Coordination with design team and consultants
* Liaising with contractors and overseeing works on-site
Professional skills
* Minimum two to three years post-Part 2 experience for architectural assistants
* Excellent design and spatial planning skills
* Time management skills and highly organised working methods
* Preferable if candidate has experience of international projects
* Confident communicator
* Excellent written and spoken English
Software skills
* Advanced knowledge of Rhino highly preferable
* Good knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (mainly Word and Excel)
* Good knowledge of V-Ray, Enscape or other rendering software
