Office Administrator – Lane End Primary School

We are looking for a friendly, organised and proactive person to undertake this varied and rewarding role which combines: administrative responsibilities, welcoming and dealing with visitors, external professionals, children and parents face to face, via email and on the phone, offer basic first aid support, promote the school's safeguarding policies and much more.

Term time only: Yes

Salary type: Bucks Pay

Contract type: Permanent

Hours: Full-time

We are a relatively small, inclusive village primary school, taking children from 2-11 years. Our school is bright and spacious with a forward-thinking outlook and an exciting future.

We are a friendly and supportive staff who work closely together. All staff are committed to ensuring we provide the very best for our school community so the children at Lane End Primary can become the best version of themselves by the time they leave.

  • Handling pupil records including attendance
  • Supporting staff, parents and pupils
  • Maintaining accurate data using the MIS system (SIMS)
  • Raise purchase orders and liaise with the accounts team as required
  • Manage Health & Safety records and reporting as required
  • Undertake relevant First Aid Training

About you

We are looking for someone who is/has:

  • Approachable and calm under pressure
  • Strong communication, organisational and time management skills
  • Good IT skills and data entry experience
  • An ability to work collaboratively and maintain confidentiality

Lane End Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. In line with Keeping Children Safe in Education, online searches will be carried out on all shortlisted candidates. The successful applicant will have to meet the requirements of the person specification in order to be offered the post. Any job offer will be conditional on the satisfactory completion of pre-employment checks, including an enhanced DBS check.
