Specialist Practitioner/ Senior Support Worker/ Team Lead ?? Bangor, Northern Ireland ?? Permanent | Full Time ?? £32,000 per annum About the Role We are seeking a passionate and experienced Specialist Practitioner to join a new dedicated team supporting adults with learning disabilities and behaviours that may challenge. This is an exciting opportunity to make a genuine difference while shaping high-quality, person-centred care. As a Specialist Practitioner, you will lead the development, embedding, and ongoing oversight of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) across the service. You will also provide management and guidance to the Practitioner team, helping ensure best practice and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Translate functional assessments into robust PBS plans and ensure consistent implementation across all shifts Provide real-time coaching and modelling of best practice to support colleagues during challenging or high-risk situations Coordinate multidisciplinary input and family involvement to translate clinical recommendations into practical daily routines Analyse behaviour data and incident trends to monitor progress, set targets, and drive timely reviews Lead proportionate risk assessments and review restrictive practices with the aim of safe reduction Participate in post-incident debriefs and implement improvements Quality assure records, reporting, and compliance readiness, escalating safeguarding concerns appropriately Promote independence and community participation through structured skill-building and meaningful alternatives to restriction Line manage and support the Practitioner team, promoting professional development, performance, and best practice Essential Requirements Advanced practical understanding of PBS and trauma-informed support, with confidence to coach and model least restrictive practice Relevant PBS qualification (Level 4 certificate, Diploma, Postgraduate Certificate, or MSc in Positive Behaviour Support) Proven experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities and behaviours that may challenge Previous management or leadership experience (essential) Full, clean UK driving licence and willingness to drive as part of the role Confident using PBS tools to adapt support and track impact Contract Details Full-time (12-hour shifts: 9am - 9pm) Competitive salary (£32,000 per annum) Paid holidays and parking provided For more information- get in touch with Hannah Hollywood Harry @ Staffline Recruitment Ireland Skills: Autism Challenging Behavior Support Care
