Madisons Recruitment are recruiting for a Landscaping Contracts Manager on a permanent basis for a client of ours where you will be required to travel and conduct site visits across Hertforshire and Cambridgeshire
Our client provide high quality soft landscaping services for a wide variety of commercial and residential projects.
Responsibilities
Pre-Contract
Provide support to the sales team to maximise contract awards. Including attendance to client meetings
Undertake pre-contract review following completion of pre-start meetings and liaise with internal management to record all project specific requirements and budget management
Site Operations
Provide first point of contact for Contractors, Site Management and Clients for duration of the contract
Ensure all staff are complying to Health and Safety standards
Complete quality, competency, environmental, H&S and general housekeeping/equipment and welfare assessments with site staff whilst on site.
Ensure all non-conformances are recorded with in the company’s Internal Management System
Regularly assess works onsite by visiting site, reviewing daily reports from the foremen and liaising with the site manager.
Identify any areas of opportunity for the business when onsite, i.e. extra works or further projects available etc
Project Completion
Oversee completion of project sign offs and record
Record any defects identified by the client and assign timescales for completion
Ensure economical and efficient use of company resources throughout all activities
Assist in maintaining compliance document and practice throughout operations
Lead by example and help filter a positive approach to compliance and safety throughout the teams.
Ensure all reporting and reviews are kept up to date and relevant systems updated.
Requirements
Proven experience of at least 2-3 years within an projects management role within the commercial soft landscaping sector and a sound knowledge of horticulture practice.
Conversant in conducting risk assessments, H&S and quality inspections
A good leader, with experience of managing teams and delivering against targets
Must be computer literate with a keen eye for detail and well organised
Excellent interpersonal skills to motivate and lead staff
A proactive approach to work and an understanding of your contribution to the company as a whole.
Must have a clean valid driving licence
