Key responsibilities of the Opto-electronics Engineer job: Support existing and new products in manufacturing Analyse and design for optical performance, including use of optical and electrical simulation tools Prototype assembly, testing, fault finding and optical alignment. Support entire project lifecycle including support to qualification and verification activities. Key Skills / Experience required for the Opto-electronics Engineer job: A strong Electronics Engineering background with proven experience in electronics design A practical understanding of microelectronics assembly Experience in the Aerospace or similar industries would be advantageous Willingness to be involved in all aspects of practical engineering, including assembly and test of prototypes hardware Candidates must be eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance.
