About the role Join the University of Leicester as an Estates Service Desk Team Leader The Estates Service Desk comprises a team of approximately 15 colleagues who work closely with departments across Estates and Campus Services. We provide high-quality customer service to students, staff, and visitors, operating from several reception points across the central campus. This role offers an excellent opportunity to support the effective day-to-day running of the Estates Service Desk, contributing to both routine operations and critical activities throughout the academic year. You will play an important part in upholding our core values of Inclusivity, Inspiration, and Impact. The successful candidate will lead the team with front-line response to incidents reported to the Help Desk, including fire, flood, and other disruption-related events. They will oversee a team of Help Desk Operators and support a centralised shared mailbox. This is a full-time position (35 hours per week), working Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 6:00pm. The post is permanent and available for an immediate start. About you You are an enthusiastic and highly organised professional with strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality work. With proficiency in MS Office and well-developed administrative capabilities, you are able to coordinate tasks effectively, support others, and manage shifting priorities with confidence. You demonstrate clear, professional communication across telephone, email, and in-person interactions, setting the tone for positive and productive engagement within your team. You bring substantial experience in Customer Service and have a proven track record of working collaboratively in team environments. As a Team Leader, you use this experience to motivate colleagues, foster a supportive culture, and model best practice.
