Job Description Commercial Property Solicitor (5 PQE) Salary: £55,000–£75,000 DOE Location: North East London Clear route to Senior/Head of Department Our client is growing its Commercial Property offering and is looking to hire an experienced solicitor who can run files confidently, build trusted client relationships, and play a key role in the continued expansion of the department. The Role As a Commercial Property Solicitor, you’ll manage a varied caseload and support the wider team as the department develops. Key responsibilities include: Managing your own caseload of commercial property matters from instruction to completion Advising clients clearly and commercially, with a strong focus on service and repeat business Drafting, reviewing and negotiating legal documentation Supporting business development activity and contributing to the growth of the department Supervising/mentoring junior team members where appropriate (depending on experience) Typical Workload You’ll have exposure to a broad range of matters, which may include: Commercial leases (acting for landlords and tenants, renewals and new leases) Lease assignments, licences to assign, deeds of variation Commercial acquisitions and disposals (freehold/leasehold) Development matters (where relevant) Landlord and tenant support linked to commercial property transactions Requirements (Essential) To be considered, you should have: 5 years’ PQE as a Commercial Property Solicitor Strong UK practice experience running commercial property files with minimal supervision Demonstrable experience handling leases and commercial transactions end-to-end Excellent drafting and negotiation skills A client-first approach with confident communication and strong attention to detail Desirable (not essential): Experience supporting or supervising junior colleagues Interest in business development and helping grow a department Location & Working Arrangement Romford office-based role (specific hybrid/flex arrangements can be discussed depending on the team’s set-up and your experience) Commutable from East London/Essex and surrounding areas Salary & Benefits £55,000–£75,000 depending on experience Clear progression pathway as the commercial property team expands (Senior Associate and leadership potential for the right person) Holiday entitlement (details to be confirmed) Pension scheme (details to be confirmed) Ongoing training and development Supportive team environment with a focus on quality work and long-term retention Apply / Enquire If you’re a Commercial Property Solicitor (5 PQE) and you’re open to a confidential conversation, please get in touch: David Hawthorne-Finch Email: d.hawthorne-finch@h-fts.com If you’d like, send your CV or simply message with your current PQE, salary expectations, and notice period and I’ll come back to you promptly.
